How long is the campaign running?

The campaign runs across Australia from April (01/04/22) to the end of October 2022, entries close 11:59pm AEDT 31/10/22. No entries will be accepted after this time.

What Sunbites products are part of the promotion?

You don’t need to buy Sunbites products to take part in the Good Fuel Fund campaign. At Sunbites, the Good Fuel Co., we’re on a mission to fuel Australians with the goodness you need to be at your best, every day. That’s why we’ve created the Good Fuel Fund, devoted to fuelling local heroes and the charities they so tirelessly support.

How can I enter the promotion?

To submit a nomination, individuals must complete the following steps during the Nomination Period:

  1. Visit or scan the on-pack QR code and follow the steps to the nomination submission page ;
  2. Enter contact details for the nominator (Name, email, mobile phone), and the nominated individual (Name, email, mobile phone), and their charitable entity (Charity name, ABN and website);
  3. Provide an answer (in 150 words or less) to the question, “Why does your local hero deserve funding for their charitable organisation?” and
  4. Submit the fully completed online nomination form.

Do I need the nominee’s permission to enter?

Yes, in order to submit a nomination, nominators warrant that they have consent from their nominated individual that they work or volunteer for/with to nominate them as part of the campaign, ensuring that the individual understands and accepts the Terms and Conditions and to provide their personal information.

How do I know if my nomination / charity has been successful?

Nominated Winners will be notified via their nominated individual using the nominated individual’s email and/or phone provided on the nomination submission page by the 17th day of each month. All charity hero’s (nominated individuals) winners will have their name (first name only) & State or Territory of residence and their associated Charity organisation published online on the site

How many winners are there? How many prizes are there?

Sunbites is donating $200,000 in total with eight charities each receiving a $25,000 donation. The eight winning charities will be the charitable entities of each successful nominated individual.

There will be two pre-selected winners and six additional winners (nominated individuals and the charitable organisations), as determined by Sunbites a brand of The Smith’s Snackfood Company (the Promoter) in their sole and absolute discretion.

Donations will be made to charitable entities by Sunbites as follows:

  1. Two charitable entities will be pre-selected by Sunbites separate to the nomination process. One of these charitable entities will be selected in April 2022, and the other charitable entity will be selected in May 2022.
  2. From June 2022 to November 2022 (inclusive), Sunbites will also make a donation to one charitable entity each month for six months, which will be a charity selected by Sunbites, based on the content of nominations submitted into the campaign.

What can I win?

Positive karma(!) and the chance to fund your community through nominating a local charity hero & the charity they so tirelessly support. Eight charities will each receive a $25,000 donation from the Sunbites Good Fuel Fund via the Promotor’s representatives.

Who can enter?

Entry is open to Australian residents currently living in Australia, aged 18 years and over who fulfil the entry requirements.

Who can I nominate?

You can only nominate individuals who work or volunteer with an entity that meets one of the following criteria:

  1. A charity registered by the Australian Charities and Not‑for‑profits Commission (ACNC)
  2. A not-for-profit organisation registered with the Australian Government; or
  3. A Community Service Organisation which promotes, provides or carries out activities, facilities or projects for the benefit or welfare of the community or any members who have a particular need by reason of youth, age, infirmity or disablement, poverty or social or economic circumstances;

    AND the charity entity meets of the following requirements:

  4. The entity is considered a ‘small registered entity’ or ‘medium registered entity’ or ‘large registered entity’, as defined under section 205‑25 of the Australian Charities and Notforprofits Commission Act 2012, and the entity is not a part of, or in any way affiliated with a federal or state government entity. and
  5. The entity has an ‘authority to fundraise’ as identified by a Charitable Fundraising Licence as acknowledged by the State in which they are registered in.

What proof of purchase do I need?

No proof of purchase is required. You don’t need to buy Sunbites products to take part in the Good Fuel Fund campaign.

How many times can I enter? How many times can I win?

You can enter as many times as you like however a limit of one donation per charitable entity applies.

Who decides the winners? How are the winners chosen?

Throughout the campaign, Sunbites will review all entries submitted and will maintain a shortlist of nominated individuals and charitable entities based on nominations submitted during the nomination period. On 15th day of each month, Sunbites will select the winning charity based upon the merit of the entry submission and the nominee / charity meeting the requirements of entry. The Donation will be deposited by the Promotor’s representatives via electronic funds transfer (EFT) into an Australian bank account in the charitable entity’s name within 30 days of the nominated individual’s written agreement to a talent supply agreement that will be provided by the Promotor. Sunbites (the Promoter) decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
